Do you find discovering new wines exciting? Do you like comparing wines with friends? The Village is happy to announce what we hope will be a monthly wine tasting evening. Each month, 6 wines of the same type from different wineries will be sipped.

Members will blind taste all 6 wines and score each and note their favorite. Then, names of the wines will be revealed, which will likely produce much lively conversation.

The group will be limited to 12 at each meeting. Hosts/venues for the evening may rotate among those wishing to host. The host for the evening will purchase all 6 wines using the $10 from each participant to cover the cost of the wine.

Snacks will be provided. This is planned as a social event, not as a lesson in oenology (wine and winemaking!).

Venue is private home and not ADA-compliant. Wine tasting will be in the second floor accessible by stairs.

Due to space limitations this event is limited to Village Members. Registration fees, once paid, may not be refunded upon cancellation, but can be applied as a full credit towards future Village events or your membership renewal.

rosé (from Frenchrosé; also known as rosado in Portuguese and Spanish-speaking countries and rosato in Italy) is a type of wine that incorporates some of the color from the grape skins, but not enough to qualify it as a red wine. It may be the oldest known type of wine, as it is the most straightforward to make with the skin contact method. The pink color can range from a pale "onion-skin" orange to a vivid near-purple, depending on the varietals used and winemaking techniques. There are three major ways to produce rosé wine: skin contact, saignée, and blending. Rosé wines can be made still, semi-sparkling or sparkling and with a wide range of sweetness levels from highly dryProvençal rosé to sweet White Zinfandels and blushes. Rosé wines are made from a wide variety of grapes and can be found all around the globe. Source: Wikipdeia
